I love to eat sandwiches...LOVE! As in, I have a sandwich for lunch almost daily. When we are out and about, on the boat, going to the zoo, in the car, whatever, I love that I can just make my sandwich, throw it in a baggie and take it with me. What I HATE is that my germ free sandwich goes into a baggie for a very short period of time, and then I eat the sandwich and throw the bag away. What a waste! Did you know the average person spends about $300 a year on snack packaging? Did you also know that it takes 1,000 years for a plastic bag to break down? If you are like me and hate being wasteful and want to leave a better impression on our Earth, here is a product for you!
I want to send out a big Thank You to Kelly at ReSnackIt for giving me the opportunity to test out one of their reusable snack bags. The concept of these is relatively new to me, but I was excited to try these out.
Live and Dream Green is the company behind this awesome product! Here is some information I received from them on how ReSnackIt came to be.
Kristin Webster, a former 7th grade health teacher in CT, is
a stay-at-home mom to her two children, Olivia and Andrew. Her idea to start a
company selling earth friendly products to help busy moms came to her one day
when she was busy preparing her kids’ school lunches. She was running out of
plastic baggies and that there had to be a better way. She knew those bags didn’t decompose and
leeched chemicals into the soil, just growing the amount of trash we, as inhabitants
of this earth, produce. That launched
the birth of ReSnackIt®, a reusable & washable sandwich and snack
baggie. Her products are free of: Lead, BPA, PVC, Phthalates,
and is CPSIA Approved. The inside of her
bags are constructed with undyed, vinyl- free nylon, backed by a coating that
does not come in contact with food, allowing them to be moisture resistant,
wipe-able, machine wash safe, so that you can use them again and again. Kristin
created the sandwich and snack bags, and then added several new products to her
line, including the ReSnackIt®
Wrap, ReSnackIt® Hoagie and Double-Pouch ReSnackIt®
About ReSnackIt
ReSnackIt® reusable sandwich bags and reusable snack bags are a modern day, better alternative for a plastic baggie. The idea is to encourage
“earth-friendliness” with a reusable bag for food, where kids and adults want
to carry it. Who says you can't have fun and flair while still being earth conscience?
The wonderful thing about ReSnackIt® sandwich and
snack bags is that they are reusable. Either the crumbs can be shaken out, the
inside wiped down, or ReSnackIt® can
be thrown in the dishwasher or washing machine. Also, there are many fabrics to choose from
and ReSnackit® is always adding new fabrics. ReSnackIt®
products are proudly made in the US and contain NO lead, phthalates, vinyl or
BPA.
ReSnackIt® reusable
sandwich and snack bags are earth inspired, Mom invented, and child
endorsed. The company, Live and Dream Green LLC, was founded by a stay-at-home mother
of two, and former teacher, who dreams of a greener world and believes being
environmentally-friendly does not mean sacrificing convenience and style.
My Experience with ReSnackIt
We received the Safari Snacker to review.
The Snacker is their sandwich bag. We love our print so much! It's perfect for my daughter who is an animal freak! With over 50 adorable prints to choose from, you are sure to find one that everybody in your family will love to tote around. When we received our Snacker, I thought to myself, "Hey, this is perfect for my sandwiches!" My daughter however, thought, "Hey, this is perfect for my snacks!" And she is only 20 months old. I do not get to use this often because she prefers this to her snack cups and everything else.
What do I love about our ReSnackIt Snacker?
Everything! The biggest factor for me, is the size of the bag. I have used some other reusable snack and sandwich bags, and have had a difficult time getting my sandwich to fit easily. With the Snacker bag, I did not have this problem. There was plenty of room for my sandwich to fit stuffed full of whatever goodies I add to it.
Can you see how much room is leftover? This is a very plain sandwich and not stuffed with any good stuff, but you can still see just how much space is still in the bag. If you use extra large bread, it will still easily fit into this Snacker bag. With a size of 7" W x 6" L, you can imagine how much space you have.
I also love the size of the velcro on the front of the bag. There is room for adjusting it so you can close it tighter or make it bigger.
The material is so soft on the outside and the inside. The bag washes up easily, whether I'm dumping out crumbs, throwing it in the dishwasher or the washing machine. I wash mine inside out since the food is on the inside of it.
I know that as my daughter grows, we will be getting more of these bags. They come in handy for so much. Her little hands can undo the velcro without much trouble and she can carry it around and eat her snack. Even with the wear and tear she can put on something, this has stayed in like new condition for us. I absolutely love this bag and know that you will too!

With many different options, they definitely have your on the go food covered. Don't just take my word for it though, here is what another happy ReSnackIt user had to say:
Just
wanted to leave you a quick review. I have 3 kids and their school doesn't have
a cafeteria. I am packing lunches for them every day in ReSnackits. I have
probably washed my ReSnackits 200+ times in the washer and dried them in the
dryer and not a single one shows any sign of wear! Thanks for making such a great, reliable, Earth friendly product. This
tree-hugging Mom is so appreciative!
Want your own ReSnackIt bags?
